Devon was foggy, at least the first day. Actually, it was a blessing in disguise. As we were leaving Pete's house in Throwleigh and entering Dartmoor, the fields were covered in a pungent mantle of excrement. Dogs, sheep, cows, devon ponies, deer, and who knows what else ran roughshod all over the place, and the impressive cover of feces attested to that fact. Being that I couldn't really see anything more than 20 feet away, I managed to steer my foot away the lion's share of shit.
